What is a Bundle Lock Wire?
1. There are two standard Bundle Lock Wire lengths:
– 36 FT. for highway loads ( 50 Cubic meters)
– 43 FT. for off-highway loads ( 80 Cubic meters)
2. The wire rope used is a flexible 9/16 diameter 4X7 construction, fiber core, regular lay with a minimum breaking strength of 28,000 LBS.
3. A Bundle Lock Wire has six steel ferrules swaged at one end, each spaced 18 inches apart on 36 FT. wires and 24 inches apart on 43 FT. wires.
4. Highway Bundles ( 36 FT. ) have a blue painted hook & off highway bundles ( 43 FT. ) have a red painted hook.
5. A single steel ferrule swaged on the opposite end slips into a slot in the dead end of the Bundle Lock hook.
